David Kostinas
David Kostinas is the owner of David G. Kostinas & Associates, a consulting company that has served New Jersey’s health care industry since 1985. Major activities include system development strategies, business plan development and implementation, new venture development, facility sales and acquisitions, and regulatory issues.
David began his career in 1977 with the New Jersey State Department of Health as a Certificate of Need Analyst. During his five year tenure in the Certificate of Need Program, David worked closely with a vast number of health care providers and became acquainted with every imaginable health service proposal. |
Background
In April, 1982 David left government service and was appointed to the position of Vice-President of the New Jersey Association of Health Care Facilities (NJAHCF), a trade association representing the State's nursing homes, residential health, and assisted living facilities. As NJAHCF's Vice-President, David was responsible for the monitoring of all government activity which, in many cases, ultimately impacts the long term care industry.

Established as Health Strategies in 1985, now trading as David Kostinas and Associates, the company has enjoyed a long and successful experience in the New Jersey health care market. Multiple liaisons and coordinated partnerships have enabled DKA to develop into a network of professionals and experts that can bring a wide array of services and counsel to various health care providers. From the not-for-profit hospital in crisis to the national nursing home chain, DKA has worked with many major companies.
DKA clients have been awarded Certificate of Need approval for transplantation services, cardiac surgery, new psychiatric hospitals, major capital projects, free-standing ambulatory surgery centers, ESRD centers, linear accelerators, nursing homes, assisted living facilities/comprehensive personal care homes, residential health care facilities, medical day care centers, CCRC's, cardiac care programs, and rehabilitation centers.

Community Activities
Community Activities In addition to his professional positions, David has also been involved in community activities. David served on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton for 23 years, including Chairman of their Nominating Committee and Chairman of the Hamilton Continuing Care Center. David is Past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Springpoint Senior Living (formerly PHS Senior Living, Inc.) and is Past Chairman and current of the Board of Trustees of Children’s Specialized Hospital. David is also a member of the Board of Directors at Integrity House.
